Ashley and Shelby were in constent contact with the doctor to discuss the best treatment,. They were patient and kind with his excruciatingly painful dressing changes. The admission and social service staff were extremly knowledgeable, and always available to meet and answer any questions or cocerns. The nurses and CNA’S were caring and although they were busy, they treated all patients with respect and took the time to make sure they had all they needed before moving on to the next. I could not have got through the months he was healing without the kind and caring staff. Thank you to all
Having to place an aging parent into a skilled nursing facility is a situation nobody ever wants to face, but when it becomes necessary, you want the absolute best care possible. After my 81-year-old father had surgery and was discharged from Mercy Hospital, he spent five weeks at Oak River Rehab. I did extensive research in advance across all local facilities, and Oak River completely exceeded our expectations. The entire facility is exceptionally well run, and the staff is genuinely wonderful across the board. My dad absolutely adored his nurse, Sarah, as well as his physical therapist, Bruce—the care, patience, and encouragement they provided made all the difference in his recovery. Coordinating discharge care can often be overwhelming, but Breanna and Melinda in Social Services were outstanding. They took the initiative to set up all the necessary aftercare Dad needed without me ever having to follow up or send reminders—a rare and deeply appreciated level of proactive support. If you find yourself in the position of needing rehabilitation or skilled nursing care for a family member, I wouldn’t send a loved one anywhere else.
